Last night we played with Health & Efficiency and Arbouretum in a great show at the Hare and Hounds. Even better, one of our friends was able to record our performance and, thanks to the wonders and magics of the internet, it’s reproduced below for your listening pleasure.
Been a bit quiet here recently, but Tigernaut are still grafting away at the coal face, working the riff mines night and day. We’ve got two gigs to announce, both of which will be happening in Birmingham.
The first is on the 23rd March at the Hare and Hounds, for the wonderful Capsule. We’ll be supporting Arbouretum along with Birmingham rockers Health & Efficiency – tickets are £8 and there’s more information on Capsule’s website here.
Secondly, we’ll be playing at the Lamp Tavern in Digbeth along with Is I Cinema and Tomorrow We Sail for Burn the Jukebox. The boffins in accounts are still weighing up the costs before they come up with an entrance price, but it’s unlikely to be more than a couple of quid. This one’s on the 7th May which is a Saturday – come along if you can! Flyers &c. will be posted up as soon as the number crunchers have finished their work and they can be finalised.
See you soon – and don’t forget to send in those tattoo snaps!
We’ve been invited to play at a group show on Wednesday. The venue’s Ice Father Nation 33-35 Commercial Road, London E1 and it’s free.
I can't believe it's not post rock!
We have another show booked on Friday 5th February in Birmingham’s Island Bar. It’s a party to celebrate our friends Dan and Lucy’s 10 year anniversary!
Tigernaut will be playing in the Moseley Arms in Digbeth on Saturday 30th October. It’s going to be a hallowe’en show and apparently it will have a spooky theme. More details to follow.
A few weeks ago we recorded our first proper record in Muthers Studios, Digbeth. We are going to be mixing and mastering it soon and we’re working on the art work right now. We haven’t finally settled on a name, but the tracklisting will be (perhaps not in this order):
You will not shake us off; Points raised by wolves; Retreat; So some lonesome corner; The long hot part two; When my dust settles.
We have a couple of other little interludes which may or may not be on and may be called: Steam gives way to sail and They take you in & you never come out/ I’ll wrench you good/ Your horse has also ran/ Tigernaut jeans.
Finally, if only Tigernaut were a black metal band this is what the art would be.
